About the Role
A warm, detail-oriented family in Greenwich is looking for a part-time household manager who genuinely loves the work. This is a home with thoughtfully built systems for everything from laundry and delicate fabric care to closet organization, and the family is looking for someone who will learn those systems, respect them, and maintain them with the same care they would themselves. Two small dogs are part of the household, and a calm, confident energy around them is essential.
The ideal candidate is self-directed, detail-oriented, and genuinely proactive — someone who notices what needs doing before being asked, and who would rather research the right way to care for something delicate than guess. Some comfort with children is appreciated, as the home is occasionally lively with school-age kids around. The home is currently undergoing some renovation, so flexibility and a calm, can-do attitude matter. This family values long-term commitment above all else and is happy to take their time to find the right person.
What You Will Do
- Maintain daily kitchen cleanliness and general tidiness throughout the home
- Follow a structured weekly cleaning rotation so every room gets proper attention
- Manage a laundry and fabric care schedule, including delicate items requiring special handling
- Maintain household organization systems exactly as established — closets, drawers, and storage zones
- Handle light deep-cleaning and appliance maintenance on a set schedule
- Provide calm, comfortable care around two small dogs, including basic daily needs
- Occasionally support light childcare needs (school pickups, being present if children are home)
Schedule and Compensation
- Monday to Friday (4–5 days/week), mornings ~8:00 AM–12:00 PM
- Approximately 20 hours/week, with potential for more over time
- $35–$40+/hr depending on experience
