Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Full Time Dishwasher to join our busy kitchen team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our restaurant’s cleanliness and sanitation efforts, ensuring that dishes, kitchen tools, and workspaces are spotless and ready for service. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a smooth-running kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently to clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools according to food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including cleaning vegetables or organizing supplies.
- Support the team by bussing tables and clearing dishes from dining areas promptly.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of pots, pans, and supplies safely and correctly.
- Follow all food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure proper food handling practices.
- Support the overall cleanliness of the kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures, food safety standards, and kitchen health & safety regulations.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely.
- Familiarity with operating basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or cleaning machinery.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Flexibility to work full-time hours, including evenings and weekends.
