We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of professional grooming experience and be confident handling the entire grooming process, from bathing and blow-drying to full grooming, finishing, and cleanup. A passion for animal care and excellent customer service are essential.
Responsibilities
- Complete the full grooming process, including bathing, blow-drying, brushing, trimming, nail trimming, ear cleaning, finishing, and cleanup.
- Safely handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
- Assess coat and skin condition to provide appropriate grooming services.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming area and equipment.
- Communicate professionally with pet owners regarding grooming needs and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional pet grooming experience (required).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Professional grooming certification (NDGAA, IPG, AKC S.A.F.E., or equivalent) or formal grooming school preferred.
- Strong animal handling and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and handle dogs of various sizes.
Your own grooming equipment is a must. Hydraulic table and work station is provided along with everything else to complete the job.
