We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and guest-focused Barista to join the team at our Sunset location.
Position Overview
A Barista at Baguette Café does much more than prepare coffee. You will often be the first and last person our guests interact with. You will welcome them, help them navigate the menu, prepare high-quality beverages, and make sure they leave feeling appreciated.
This is a full-time position with varying shifts. Typical shifts include:
- 6:45 AM to 2:00 PM
- 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Applicants must be available for both early and later shifts as scheduled.
This position is best suited for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, stays productive without constant supervision, and takes pride in keeping the café clean, organized, and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet every guest promptly, warmly, and professionally
- Take orders accurately and process payments
- Help guests understand the menu and make recommendations
- Prepare espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, fresh juices, and other café beverages
- Maintain a clean and organized barista station throughout the shift
- Clear and clean tables and keep the dining room presentable
- Restock ingredients, cups, and supplies before they run out
- Follow food-safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards
- Support teammates during busy periods
- Ensure every guest leaves feeling appreciated and well cared for
Requirements
- Previous barista or food-service experience is preferred
- Friendly, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and guest-service skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to remain organized and productive throughout the shift
- Willingness to clean, restock, and help wherever needed
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Genuine interest in hospitality, coffee, and providing an excellent guest experience
- Availability for shifts beginning as early as 6:45 AM
