Do you have an active PCI Certified Inspector Level III certification and ready to make $180k+ per year?
We are a construction materials testing firm run by inspectors. We're hiring for our precast team, and we pay what your credential is worth.
Here's what you'll make
- $180,000 a year — minimum. On our standard schedule (5 days a week, 11 hours a day, year-round) with full per diem, $180K is the floor at the entry base rate. Here's the math, no asterisks:
- $45/hr base × 40 hrs + overtime at $67.50/hr × 15 hrs = ~$140K in wages
- $180/day per diem × ~250 days = ~$45K, tax-free, on top (see our calculator on cmttechs.com)
- Senior inspectors earn $215K–$235K. Base rate runs $50–$60/hr depending on your experience, certifications, and where you're willing to travel.
- Want Saturdays? That's straight upside. Every Saturday hour is overtime and comes with another full per-diem day. Work as much or as little as you want.
- Full GSA per diem — every day. We pay the complete federal per diem rate for whatever area you're working in. Tax-free, on top of wages.
- Company vehicle provided. No miles on your truck, no fuel out of your pocket.
- Time-off requests are always approved. We want you home as often as you want to be. Rested inspectors do better work and stay longer — simple as that.
What you'll do
- Power plants and field inspection of precast, prestressed, and post-tensioned concrete — girders, deck panels, double-tees, PT slabs, and architectural precast on bridges, data centers, and heavy-industrial projects.
- Plant inspections to project specs: mix designs, placement, curing, strand tensioning and detensioning.
- Audit batch plant QC records; run and verify ASTM C39, C138, C143, C172, C231 testing.
- Dimensional, finish, and embedded-hardware verification on finished units.
- Write NCRs, drive corrective action with production and engineering, and prepare daily reports for owner / EPC submittals.
- Mentor and competency-evaluate junior ACI/PCI technicians at client facilities.
Must have
- Active PCI Inspector Level III (required).
- 1-2+ years of precast / prestressed concrete QC inspection experience
- Ability to read structural, shop, and post-tensioning shop drawings.

Nice to have
- ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I or Concrete Construction Inspector.
- ICC S2 (Structural / Prestressed Concrete).
- ICC Certifications
