Job Summary
We are in need of a Temporary FT Dental Assistant from 07/13/2026 to 08/19/2026, approximately 35 hours per week, 1/2 day on Fridays. In this role, you will support dentists during clinical procedures, manage patient interactions, and ensure the smooth operation of the dental practice. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a private dental office environment, where we stand by a dedicated, and personal approach to each patient in a very predictable 8 hour day. Possibility of long term PT employment.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection prevention management protocols.
- Knowledge in digital imaging and 3D scans, while maintaining strict adherence to dental x-ray safety standards and HIPAA confidentiality policies.
- Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures, ensuring infection control standards are met consistently across all clinical activities.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly to enhance their understanding and comfort during visits.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist.
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across general dentistry, Endodontics and oral surgery.
- Experience with dental x-ray techniques, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology.
- Expertise in infection prevention management, dental sterilization.
- Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while adhering to strict sterilization protocols.
- Skilled in chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient comfort and procedural efficiency.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality policies within a clinical setting.
