We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented LTL Dispatcher to join our logistics team! In this vital role, you will coordinate and manage Less Than Truckload (LTL) freight shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery across our supply chain network. Duties
- Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules for LTL freight using transportation management systems.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, and customers via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear and professional phone call management.
- Utilize GPS, GIS mapping tools, and transportation planning software to optimize routes and monitor shipment progress in real-time.
- Manage freight documentation, data entry, and shipping & receiving records accurately.
- Oversee fleet management activities, including dispatching trucks, tracking shipments via GPS, and coordinating with third-party logistics providers (3PL).
- Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies or delays, implementing solutions to improve overall supply chain performance.
- Maintain organized records of dispatch activities, shipment statuses, and incident reports to ensure compliance and transparency.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of transportation management software
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette for managing high-volume calls.
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with freight shipping & receiving processes and fleet management practices.
- Analysis skills to interpret logistics data for continuous process improvement.
