What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating a tractor-trailer combination (up to 80,000 lbs GVW)
- Mostly drop & hook freight (quick in & out)
- Occasional live unloads when required
- Pickup and delivery of merchandise on scheduled and regional/long-haul routes
- May include routes over 24 hours
- Travel across state lines and sometimes regional interstate runs
- Inspecting freight for damage, shortages, or overages
- Securing proper signatures and delivery receipts
- unloading when required
- Must hold a valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 2 years experience operating heavy trucks / tractor-trailers
- Must be able to operate manual (standard shift) transmission
- Clean driving record for the last 3 years
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be able to pass a federal background check
- Complete fingerprinting if required
- Pass a DOT drug screening
- Be willing to complete hair follicle drug testing (may be required)
- Follow all DOT/FMCSA safety regulations
