The primary purpose of the Senior Financial Accountant position at The Hill at Whitemarsh is to perform various general accounting and analytical functions within the Finance department and to maintain compliance with established procedures and policies in an organized manner.
- Prepare and ensure accounting activities and month end closing processes are completed accurately and timely
- Reconcile Bank Statements, Investment statements, and Petty Cash
- Reconcile Prepaid and Accrued Expenses

Reconcile AR Aging

Maintain Fixed Asset roll forward

Maintain Deferred Revenue roll forward

Maintain Contribution Listing(s)

Prepare month end close journal entries for review

Analyze detail general ledger activity, prepare schedules, and post necessary adjustments

Provide support to review and analyze financial information
- Assist in preparation and supporting outside audits

Support the team with ad-hoc finance projects as needed

Requirements for this position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3 years of Public Accounting and/or Industry experience
- Outstanding Communication and Interpersonal skills
- Strong Problem Solving Skills
- Intermediate Level Excel skills
- Knowledge of, or aptitude to learn multiple accounting software packages including Matrixcare and Power BI
- Ability to work well with a team
- Ability to follow instructions carefully
- High level of organization and strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of GAAP and non profit accounting standards a plus
