Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse – Med Surg RN:
- Provide direct patient care to adult medical surgical patients in a hospital setting
- Complete patient assessments, monitor conditions, and communicate changes in patient status
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and recovery goals
- Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive clinical outcomes
Requirements for the Travel Nurse – Med Surg RN:
- Active Vermont (VT) Registered Nurse (RN) License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience
- Recent acute care hospital experience preferred
