Job Description:
Scope of Position: Support business relationships for training opportunities with local area employers aligned with industry sectors, particularly as they pertain to On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Paid Work Experience (PWE). This position will coordinate activities that promote career pathways for participants and will coordinate worksite agreements with employers.
Essential Functions

Introduce employers to services at CareerSource and available training programs during initial employer visits, promote OJT and PWE opportunities and incentives

Act as an ambassador and concierge to the business community, developing and maintaining relationships with Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development, and other business-oriented groups

Develop career opportunities for participants in partnership with the Career Navigators and Youth Advocates
-
Develop a network for potential business leads and reconnect employers who no longer utilize services
-
Conduct initial assessments/intakes to determine candidates’ job interests and potential barriers for both Youth participants and Adults
-
Coordinate OJT/PWE contracts and worksite agreements, ensuring accuracy
-
Conduct follow-ups and ongoing check-ins with participants
-
Document participant progress in EmployFlorida and other necessary trackers
-
Complete employee onboarding process through ADP including review of the program handbook
-
Review participants’ time and attendance to verify accuracy for payroll purposes

Upload all necessary documents according to the process and procedures

Close out participant records upon successful employment placement

Support special grants and initiatives through finding opportunities for participant placement

Perform audits as required and provide responses to monitoring

Work with employers and conduct reverse referrals

Collaboration required with Business Service Representatives and employers
-
Develop and distribute outreach materials in collaboration with CareerSource partners

Support CareerSource with hiring events

Education and Experience Requirements
-
High school diploma required; associate degree or some college preferred
-
Strong presentation, sales, and marketing skills, including the ability to present to large groups
-
Demonstrated telephone, computer, written, and verbal communication skills
-
Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining flexibility to meet contract and operational needs

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Regional travel required

Able to work fully onsite, fully virtual, or in a hybrid environment

Clean driving record, valid Driver’s License, and reliable vehicle required
