In addition to exemplary credentials in English Language Arts, the successful candidate will have a demonstrated history that would include the following experiences and dispositions:
- Use of data to inform programming goals and evaluate student progress
- Comfort and expertise in growing students within a standards-based reporting environment
- Knowledge and implementation of trauma-informed instructional practices
- Expertise in content-area literacy instruction
- A passion for working with High School students
Sauk Prairie High School just completed a four-year, $60 million dollar refurbishment, transforming our 60 year old school into a modern facility that will serve the needs of our community for another 50 years.

District Description: The district includes Sauk City and Prairie du Sac, two “next door” villages known as Sauk Prairie. They are located on the beautiful Wisconsin River. Thirteen towns and the village of Merrimac are also in the district. The area features rolling hills, meadows, bluffs, forests, lakes and streams. The district offers small-town, rural living with easy access to the Madison urban area (25 miles) and to the Wisconsin Dells recreation area (28 miles). The district serves 2,800 students, and is comprised of six learning communities with a high school of 850 students, middle school of 600 students and four elementary schools of 1,350 students.
