Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs, preferences, and medical considerations.
- Educate clients on the benefits of various massage modalities and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with their health objectives.
- Maintain clear communication with clients to ensure comfort, address concerns, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including CPR certification and proper sanitation practices, to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Keep detailed records of each session, including treatment details, client progress, and any relevant medical information or contraindications.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals when necessary to support pain management strategies and occupational health initiatives.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification.
- Proven experience in massage therapy with knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in various massage techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of pain management practices and experience working in med spa or similar environments preferred.
- Certification in CPR and familiarity with healthcare safety standards.
- Ability to build rapport with clients while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Prior experience in customer service roles within healthcare or wellness settings is advantageous.
