We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Evening Cleaner to join our facilities maintenance team. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and sanitation tools.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without risk to health or environment.
- Operate cleaning machinery including floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning materials in accordance with safe lifting practices.
- Maintain facilities by performing minor repairs or reporting maintenance issues promptly to ensure operational efficiency.
- Follow strict safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Keep detailed records of cleaning activities, supply levels, and safety checks for accountability and continuous improvement.
Experience
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the use of various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and chemical agents.
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks.
- Experience with facilities maintenance or basic repair work is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed.
- Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
