We are hiring for one of our trusted clients seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support plant and office operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive benefits package, paid time off, and paid holidays.
Position Overview:
The HR Generalist will serve as a primary resource for employees, supervisors, and leadership on policies, procedures, employee relations, recruitment, staffing, and HR programs. This role plays a key part in supporting the overall employee experience while partnering closely with management across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters
- Provide guidance and support to supervisors, teams, and individuals on the shop floor
- Manage recruitment, hiring, and staffing efforts for plant and office positions
- Process employment changes and maintain employee information within Workday
- Assist with workers’ compensation cases and support physically restricted employees
- Partner with leadership on disciplinary actions, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Coordinate employee events, communication boards, and monthly employee newsletters
- Support organizational training initiatives for shop floor and technical positions
- Maintain employee files, databases, job descriptions, and internal HR documentation
- Assist in developing and implementing HR programs, policies, and projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience, preferably within manufacturing
- Strong employee relations and investigation experience
- Knowledge of HR laws, policies, and procedures
- Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Workday, and Dayforce preferred
- Ability to manage confidential matters with professionalism and discretion
Additional Information:
- Must be flexible to occasionally support meetings across multiple shifts
- Strong collaboration and cross-functional teamwork skills are essential
