Job Overview
This is a key position that will support the daily operations of both the Moscow Recycling Center and Inland North Waste. This role is responsible for maintaining 24-hour drop-off areas, ensuring site cleanliness, operating equipment safely, and providing excellent customer service.
Schedule
Friday through Tuesday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
Duties
- Maintain 24-hour recycling and yard waste drop-off areas while keeping the site clean and free of debris
- Ensure proper operation of equipment by performing pre and post-trip reports; keeping equipment clean, maintained, and stored in a safe manner; and immediately reporting any equipment or mechanical failures to the supervisor
- Comply with OSHA, SDS standards, and company safety procedures, local, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service by creating and maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers
- Basic understanding and ability to operate computer programs
- Model all relevant company policies and procedures while managing a variable workload
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently complete tasks
- Ability to work various shifts, hours, and days depending on workload
- Strong written/verbal communication skills and strong documentation skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities while working cooperatively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards
- Keen attention to detail and situational awareness to maintain the safety of the work environment
- Read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures
- Background check results satisfactory to INW
- Negative drug test result(s)
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year forklift experience
- 1 Year skid steer experience
Physical Requirements
- Lift and maneuver 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to ascend and descend ladders
- Lift, push, pull, bend, reach, twist, stoop, etc.
- Must be able to work in noise, dust, and all weather conditions
- Stand for at least 8 hours
