Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other food preparation tools.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors and toppings that appeal to diverse customer preferences.
- Handle food production tasks such as braising, poaching, grilling, and food handling with precision and care.
- Maintain high-volume production standards while adhering to recipe adherence and portion control guidelines.
- Support the team with meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous dietary aide experience or food service experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety management, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Demonstrated skills in cooking methods including braising, poaching, grilling, and knife skills for precise food prep.
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume food production environments.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Prior experience in fine dining or catering environments is a plus but not required.
