About the Role
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Marine Electrician to support Advanced Weapon Elevator Systems aboard U.S. Navy aircraft carriers in San Diego, CA & Bremerton, WA (two different locations- no travel required.) This position is ideal for candidates with strong troubleshooting experience who can diagnose and repair complex electrical systems in a shipyard environment.
This role supports mission-critical elevator and conveyor systems on aircraft carriers and offers the opportunity to work alongside skilled technicians supporting the U.S. Navy's fleet.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain advanced weapon elevator systems
- Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, limit switches, proximity switches, and control systems
- Work with PLC systems (Rockwell preferred)
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Support elevator, conveyor, hangar door, and carrier equipment maintenance
- Perform testing and verification of repaired systems
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure carrier readiness
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 10 Maritime Certification (required/ we can provide certificate)
- 6+ years of Marine Electrician or Navy Electrical experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting background
- Experience with NAVSEA electrical systems
- Experience with cable pulling, splicing, and banding
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Comfortable working in shipyard and naval environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain base access credentials (DBID)
Preferred Qualifications
- Rockwell PLC experience
- Multipin connector experience or certification
- Electric motors and control systems experience
- Cableway installation experience
- CPR Certification
- Prior experience supporting aircraft carriers, weapons elevators, conveyor systems, or Navy vessels
- Former Navy Electrician's Mate highly encouraged to apply

- Monday–Friday
- 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (San Diego, CA Location)
- 6:30AM- 3:00PM ( Bremerton, WA Location)
Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
