Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic – Humane Society
The Humane Society of Johnson County (HSJC) is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and mission-driven Veterinarian to join our growing low-cost spay and neuter clinic team. This position plays a vital role in improving animal welfare throughout our community by providing accessible, high-quality veterinary care to pets whose families may otherwise go without services.
Our ideal candidate is passionate about shelter medicine and preventative care, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and believes every animal deserves compassionate treatment regardless of financial circumstance. The Veterinarian will perform high-volume spay/neuter surgeries, oversee patient care, collaborate closely with veterinary staff and volunteers, and help support the HSJC broader mission of keeping pets healthy, in homes, and out of shelters.

Responsibilities
- Perform spay/neuter surgeries and related medical procedures
- Provide exceptional patient care before, during, and after surgery
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols and safety standards
- Supervise veterinary technicians and clinic support staff
- Educate pet owners on animal wellness and preventative care
- Support Humane Society programs and community outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree required
- Current veterinary license in the state of Indiana (or ability to obtain)
- Surgical experience preferred, especially high-volume spay/neuter
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for animal welfare and community impact
Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
