QUALIFICATIONS:

Proof of high school graduate or equivalent; college credits with office skills training or equivalent business school training preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years of administrative secretarial experience; experience in public education settings preferred.

Knowledge of school district organization, operations and administrative policies, procedures and business practices.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, and Forms) required. Adobe and eSchoolPlus experience preferred.

Effective verbal (receptive and expressive) and written communication skills, detail-oriented and ability to problem solve a wide variety of complex and confidential matters.

Ability to prioritize, organize, multi-task numerous complex administrative activities and manage time with minimal supervision.

Ability to work with frequent interruptions; ability to maintain emotional control under stress.

SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$39,742/CP-6
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the 2025-2026 school year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Arrange Level II discipline hearings for DAEP placements/expulsions and maintain all records.

Assist campuses with questions regarding Student Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Texas Education Code Chapter 37.

Create discipline reports in Cognos and Excel; maintain and complete district and state discipline reports.

Ensure integrity of discipline entries in eSchoolPlus.

Maintain Director’s calendar.

Assist in the preparation of department budget and perform recordkeeping tasks associated.

Order distribution and media supplies as needed.
-
Perform general secretarial duties including correspondence, filing, and phone activity.

Provide training for campus discipline entry personnel.
-
Provide support for campus APs and discipline entry personnel with daily questions about coding.
-
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services.

Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
