Marketing, Administrative & Events Manager

About Blue Eyed Baker
Blue Eyed Baker is a scratch bakery, café, restaurant and event venue dedicated to creating exceptional food and memorable guest experiences. From artisan pastries and specialty coffee to private events, classes, and our Rooftop space, we're constantly evolving and looking for new ways to connect with our community. We believe creativity, hospitality, and attention to detail are at the heart of everything we do.
We're looking for someone who is equal parts creative, organized, and proactive—someone who loves bringing ideas to life while keeping the behind-the-scenes details running smoothly.
About the Role:
This position is a unique blend of marketing, administrative support, event coordination, and guest experience.
No two days are the same. One day you may be photographing a new menu item, creating graphics in Canva, and posting on social media. The next you may be responding to customer emails, coordinating an event, organizing our marketing calendar, or helping troubleshoot customer experiences during a busy lunch rush.

We're Looking For Someone Who...
Is exceptionally creative. Creativity isn't optional in this role. We're looking for someone who constantly notices trends, develops new ideas, and finds creative ways to help Blue Eyed Baker stand out.
Pays attention to every detail. You notice when text isn't aligned. You catch spelling mistakes. You care about fonts, colors, spacing, and making everything look polished.
Understands social media. You know current trends, reels, stories, TikTok-style content, and how to create engaging content while maintaining a consistent brand.
Is comfortable creating content. You have experience with:
- Canva
- Photo editing
- Video editing (CapCut, Adobe, Final Cut, etc.)
- Graphic design
- Social media scheduling
Has a quality camera. Applicants should own and be comfortable using a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or high-quality digital camera to capture photos and videos for marketing purposes.
Is organized. You're able to manage multiple projects simultaneously without letting details fall through the cracks.
Is a strong communicator. You enjoy collaborating with others, communicating professionally with guests and vendors, and helping departments work together effectively.
Is adaptable. Our business changes quickly. We need someone who can shift priorities, jump into different projects, and wear many hats.
Responsibilities
Marketing & Social Media
- Plan, create, and schedule content across Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms.
- Stay on top of current trends while developing fresh ideas unique to Blue Eyed Baker.
- Photograph and film menu items, events, products, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Edit photos and videos for social media and marketing campaigns.
- Create graphics, menus, promotional materials, signage, and advertisements.
- Respond promptly to social media messages and comments.
- Track engagement and provide ideas to improve reach and customer engagement.
Website & Brand Management
- Update website content, menus, photos, and event information.
- Maintain an organized library of photos, videos, graphics, and marketing assets.
- Ensure consistency across all branding, menus, signage, social media, and printed materials.
- Help maintain Blue Eyed Baker's brand standards across all locations.
Administrative Support
- Assist the leadership team with administrative and operational projects.
- Manage the [email protected] inbox by responding to and directing emails appropriately.
- Work with the pastry and BOH teams to accept orders.
- Respond professionally to donation requests, customer inquiries, and community outreach.
- Serve as a central communication point between departments when needed.
Events
- Assist in planning, promoting, and coordinating classes, showers, private events, and community events.
- Help organize event timelines and marketing materials.
- Support event setup and execution as needed.
- Collaborate with vendors and community partners.
Guest Experience & Team Support
- Help create an exceptional guest experience both online and in person.
- Respond to customer concerns professionally and ensure proper follow-up.
- Support customer appreciation initiatives and loyalty programs.
- Coordinate employee recognition programs, including birthdays and Employee of the Month.
- Celebrate positive customer feedback with the team.
Front-of-House Leadership Support
- Help oversee the guest experience throughout the building.
- Monitor customer flow and assist leadership in identifying operational needs.
- Step in to greet guests, assist with service, or support the front-of-house team when necessary.
- Help ensure public spaces remain organized, stocked, and welcoming.
General Support
- Assist with special projects across departments.
- Create SOPs and organizational documents as needed.
- Help organize digital files and internal resources.
- Take initiative to identify areas for improvement and proactively solve problems.
- Support leadership wherever needed to help the business succeed.
Qualifications
Preferred experience includes:
- Marketing, communications, hospitality, or administrative experience
- Canva proficiency (required)
- Experience with photo and video editing software
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Event planning experience is a plus
- Hospitality or customer service experience is preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
