Medical Assistant – Dermatology (Southeast Texas)

Our practice is expanding! We are a multi-state dermatology group growing our footprint in Southeast Texas. We are looking for a high-energy, clinically-focused Medical Assistant to join our team. If you are a "Derm Pro" who knows your way around a shave biopsy and a surgical tray, we want to talk to you.

We utilize EMA (Modernizing Medicine). If you already know how to navigate the iPad, document a skin exam, and process pathology through EMA, you are exactly who we are looking for.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Assisting:Provide hands-on support for full-body skin exams, biopsies (shave/punch), cryotherapy, and surgical excisions.
- Expert Scribing:Utilize EMAto document patient encounters in real-time, ensuring accuracy and clinical detail.
- Patient Flow:Room patients efficiently, gather histories, and assist the Clinical Lead in maintaining a smooth daily schedule.
- Surgical Prep:Set up sterile fields, assist during procedures, handle suture removals, and provide thorough wound care education.
- Lab & Pathology:Process specimens, track results, and ensure patients are notified promptly per clinic protocol.
Requirements
- Experience:1–2+ years as a Medical Assistant. Dermatology experience is a significant plus.
- Software: EMA (Modernizing Medicine) experience is highly preferred.
- Skills:Strong understanding of sterile technique, medical terminology, and dermatology-specific workflows.
