Registered Nurse – OR / Night Charge RN

Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical nursing experience combined with proven Charge RN leadership experience. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, patient-care coordination, delegation, and communication skills.
Requirements
- Active California RN License
- CPR Certification
- Minimum 3 years of recent RN experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent specialty RN experience
- Strong Charge RN experience – Required
- OR/Surgery experience strongly preferred
- Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent
- Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Experience with delegation and coordination of patient care
- Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and individualized patient care
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans
- Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Serve as a patient and family advocate
- Delegate assignments according to staff competency and scope of practice
- Provide clinical leadership as the Night Charge RN
- Coordinate workflow and patient-care activities during the night shift
- Manage complex or high-risk clinical situations
- Maintain accurate patient documentation
- Provide patient and family education
- Monitor patient progress and evaluate outcomes
- Promote quality, safety, and compliance with hospital policies.
