Job Overview
As a Certified Personal Trainer, you will be the vibrant face of our family gym environment along with our other personal trainers, dedicated to providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our clients & members. Your role will involve engaging with gym-goers, assisting with their needs, and ensuring that our center is welcoming and clean, designing workout plans along with training individuals to meet their needs. We operate under a low stress sales environment, so there is no expectation for high pressure sales; only an expectation of providing service to members when they come in looking for it.
What you’ll do
- Design and perform specialized fitness programs for clients
- Train one-on-one clientele while catering to their needs & fitness goals
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries about products and services
- Give facility tours to prospective members and sign them up for services that they're interested in
- Maintain our high cleanliness standards in the facility. If cleaning isn't your thing, this is probably not the job for you.
- Utilize strong phone etiquette to manage customer inquiries over the phone effectively
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management
Basic qualifications
- Certification for CPT or Kinesiology/Sports degree
- Proven experience in customer service within a retail or service industry setting
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers and team members
Preferred qualifications
- CPT
- Bilingual abilities to cater to a diverse customer base
- Previous experience in cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Familiarity with retail math concepts for accurate inventory management
- Background in fitness center operations is a plus
