Duties
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo from box trucks using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts when necessary
- Secure freight properly to prevent shifting during transit, following safety protocols
- Support drivers with route preparation, including inspecting the vehicle for safety and operational readiness
- Help coordinate the movement of goods within warehouses or distribution centers
- Communicate clearly with drivers and team members to ensure accurate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck interior and loading areas
- Follow all safety guidelines related to heavy equipment operation, manual lifting, and vehicle handling
Requirements
- Prior experience with delivery driving or warehouse support is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with vehicle inspections and minor troubleshooting
- Ability to lift heavy items repeatedly and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and safety compliance
- Familiarity with commercial vehicles such as box trucks is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with route driving or shuttle driving is advantageous
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing schedules
