American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an ICU position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Work in a 10-bed ICU within a hospital setting
-
Patient ratio of 1:2
-
Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12), 19:00-7:00
-
Block schedule approved
-
Uses Epic charting system
-
Active TX or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
-
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (NIHSS and TNCC preferred)

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
-
Prior travel nursing experience required
-
Epic charting system experience required
-
Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
-
Skilled in IV therapy, arterial/central/PICC line management, and blood product administration
-
Skilled in ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, ABG interpretation, and airway suctioning
-
Experience managing cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and continuous IV sedation
-
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and multisystem organ dysfunction care
-
Experience with CVA/acute stroke management and pre/post cardiac catheterization care
-
Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including ventilated, cardiac, renal, and neurological cases

Not eligible for candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility
-
Not eligible for candidates residing in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris

Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation

All RTO must be submitted for consideration

Travel pairs or groups are not accepted

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
