We are looking to hire enthusiastic teachers with either Engineering or Math background to join us as part time teachers immediately.
Mgenius Academy is a STEM program for elementary students in Newtonville, MA. Students will learn circuit connections, laser cutter, 3D designs and how to use the different engineering tools in our engineering program. For the math program, we teach Singapore Math using an existing interactive curriculum.
We are seeking teachers who are passionate, love children and with strong background in engineering or math. The ideal candidate would know how to engage and help children in the classroom, while being able to come up with different ways of explaining certain concepts.

Responsibilities
- Utilize MGA’s pre-designed lesson plans and resources to effectively teach engineering concepts
- Guide students in designing and building their products using different tools and softwares ranging from hot glue guns, laser cutters to mastering 3D designs with Tinkercad.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and collaboration
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on student progress and development
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance program curriculum and activities.
Requirements
- Background in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering , Education, Computer Science or related field
- Experience in teaching or working with young children in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and their practical application preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and inspire students through interactive and innovative teaching methods
- Experiences with 3D printers, laser cutters, soldering, or Arduino will be a plus
Work hours:
* Flexible depending on your availability
* The ideal candidate would teach at least two classes each week, with a total of at least three hours!
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
