Overview:
The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods we are able to provide the financial support to assist men and women with a variety of social and spiritual afflictions. The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every man or woman being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. All our effort is focused on developing life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. More than just a job, each member of the team contributes to recycling goods that literally recycle and repair broken lives.
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to oversee all aspects of building maintenance at the Center and stores.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise all personnel assigned to maintenance department.

Evaluate systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.

Estimate cost of material and labor for all repair orders.

Schedule, prioritize and complete tasks as instructed by Administrator or designee.

Keep administrator informed of status and completion of work orders.

Keep necessary records (i.e., mileage, work performed, etc.).

Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations.

Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.

Assist in preventative maintenance of buildings, fixtures, and equipment under the direction of the supervisor.

Interior and exterior painting, including prep work and repairs, parking lot patching and striping as needed.

Exterminating center buildings, snow shoveling, lawn and garden work as needed.

Provide oversight and guidance to beneficiaries assigned to work therapy in the maintenance department.

This position will support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing beneficiaries with an example of professional conduct and work habits.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license with acceptable DMV record.

Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC equipment in industrial setting.

General knowledge of building codes required in maintenance and repair of industrial facilities.

Practical and varied experience in improvising repair and/or troubleshooting.

Good communication skills.
-
Must be able to work additional and/or non-standard hours in case of emergency.
