BIOTRIAL is seeking a New Jersey Certified Research Pharmacy Technician for its U.S. headquarters, a state-of-the art Clinical Pharmacology Unit in Newark, New Jersey. This is a per diem position available to work a flexible day schedule during the week.
The Pharmacy Technician will have responsibility for preparing and packaging pharmaceutical investigational products in accordance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and applicable guidelines and regulations including the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare pharmaceutical medications for administration including re-packaging and labeling, according to protocol requirements.
- Maintain medication and product inventory records including receipt, dispensing, labeling, accountability and reconciliation of all study products.
- Maintain all safety standards within pharmacy area.
- Maintain dispensing records in accordance with regulations.
- Maintain proper storage and security conditions for all medications.
- Maintains and adapts control methods and restrictions to pharmacy areas and all drug storage units.
- Coordinate routine maintenance and service needs for all pharmacy equipment; maintain records of equipment logs in accordance with SOPs; and clean and maintain all equipment and work areas, including sterilization as required.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the Clinical Research Team regarding study product preparation and administration.
- Work in close collaboration with the Quality Assurance Department to ensure that implementation and evolution of the Company’s quality system is followed.
- Accurate data management and clerical duties required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Previous experience in clinical research or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- IV sterile experience preferred.
- Nonsterile compounding experience preferred.
- Prior Clinical Laboratory experience preferred.
- Must hold and maintain a current New Jersey Pharmacy Technician certification/license from an accredited program (PTCB or ICPT).
- Ability to learn or understand new skills/tasks quickly
- Able to work on the weekends and on varying work hours
- Punctual with time management

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
