Overview We are seeking a full-time caregiver for anywhere from 30 to 45 hours per week. Shifts would begin at approximately 6:15 a.m. and end at approximately 2:00 p.m. The days that you choose to work are negotiable. We already have one part-time caregiver and are seeking to hire a second caregiver to cover 4 to 6 of the remaining days per week. Let us know what days you are available and we'll figure it out.
I'm a 39-year-old man (and the disabled client myself) and 9 years ago I had a spinal cord injury that left me paralyzed from the chest down. I can move my arms but my hands do not work. Given this, I need a fair amount of assistance with ADLs. I live at home with my parents and they manage my needs from 2:00 p.m. until bedtime. I am typically working as a virtual mental health counselor during the evening time. In the morning my needs vary and are mostly listed below. I am 5'9 and 145 lb, so I'm not unreasonably difficult to move around when it comes to dressing, bathing, transferring etc. We utilize an electric hoyer and sling for all transfers. Please let us know you're availability and limitations based on the above listed schedule and information. We are happy to try to work with whatever you're availability is if you're the right fit.
Responsibilities: - Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Administer medications - Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding - Maintain a clean and safe environment - Follow care plans
Qualifications:- Previous experience in patient care or caregiving preferred - CPR certification preferred. Training may be provided in the absence of a current certification.
