Duties
- Act as the primary communicator between kitchen staff and serving team to expedite food orders efficiently and accurately
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to quality standards before delivering to guests
- Coordinate with kitchen personnel to prioritize orders during busy service times, maintaining smooth workflow
- Assist with food presentation, garnishing, and plating to enhance visual appeal
- Support with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables promptly to maintain a clean dining environment
- Monitor food safety protocols during handling, storage, and serving processes
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems to process orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, including expediting or food preparation roles
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Organizational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously during peak hours
- Experience with POS systems and basic numeracy for order processing and billing
- Hospitality background or banquet experience is a plus, along with general culinary knowledge and kitchen experience
