DESCRIPTION
We are a small but growing hotel management company headquartered in Farmington Hills. We are seeking a full time regional Director of Sales that would oversee sales managers for 4 properties, and would be directly responsible for sales at our 2 michigan properties: The 106-room Home2 Suites in Northville and the 96-room Hampton Inn & Suites in Canton (there will be a sales coordinator assigned to you for assistance at these properties, and sales managers located at the other properties).
We have a central management office in Farmington Hills off Northwestern Highway. The Candidate will be able to work out of any of these locations, but would spend most of their time in our Famrington Hills office, and may need at least 1 day a week at each local hotel.
The Regional DOS may also periodiocally be dispatched to our out-of-state properties once every 6-10 weeks for a few days. The other properties are located in downtown Indiannapolis and downtown Denver (also a Home2 and Hampton Inn).
The Regional DOS will assist the General Manager in all aspects of revenue management and reservations. The Regional DOS will be responsible for creating a reporting system for all sales staff to organize and report all group reservations, meeting and board room reservations, group contracts, corporate negotiated rates, and corporate and community outreach for sources of business, and leads using all sources such a Solicitation Management, Delphi, Visit Detroit, etc...
The Regional DOS will also work with our remote revenue manager to make decisions regarding rate adjustments, rate shopping, 3rd Party and OTA management, ensuring that all properties are collecting all guest revenue (checks, direct bills, etc...), and participation in RMCC revenue calls.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years in a similar oversight position and fluency in all these systems. Candidate will have familiarity with Hilton's PEP system, R&I, Solicitation Management, Delphi, GRO, and other sales and lead generation sources.
We are open to other candidates that have experience in similar ecosystems with Mariott, IGH, etc... but may need training with Hilton.
Candidates without hotel DOS experience will not be considered. If your resume does not recently discuss your experience as a Revenue Manager or DOS at a major franchised hotel or hospitality management company, please do not expect a response.
The Idea Candidate as described above will be entitled to the salary advertised. Less than ideal candidates shall be considered but will not start at this pay rate.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting new business.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the market.
- Review Hilton RMCC emails daily and make minor rate adjustments and forecasting for the coming week.
- Access GRO as needed to protect and increase ADR and occupancy in conjunction with our revenue manager.
- Access 3rd party booking websites and determine appropriate course of actions on their repective extranets.
- Establish new local accounts and maintain positive relationships with current accounts
- Respond to leads in a timely fashion using Delphi, Amadeus and HotelPlanner
- Represent the company at local events, industry functions, and client meetings.
- Ensure revenue and profitability targets are consistently met or exceeded.
