We at Discount Hitch and Truck Accessories are looking for a skilled Mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair vehicles. An excellent mechanic must have great attention to detail. They must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions.

This posting is for our Grapevine location in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Responsibilities:
- Install trailer hitches, truck accessories, and aftermarket products
- Install commercial truck equipment including flatbeds, service bodies, ladder racks, and related upfits
- Install products such as Ranch Hand bumpers, bed covers, fuel tanks, fifth-wheel hitches, lighting, and other truck accessories
- Inspect vehicles before delivery to ensure quality and customer satisfaction
- Diagnose and repair installation-related issues
- Troubleshoot customer concerns and provide solutions
- Perform leather interior installations (Katzkin-style) when needed
- Assist with general shop operations and support the sales team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience installing truck accessories, trailer hitches, commercial truck equipment, or similar automotive aftermarket products is strongly preferred.
- Experience with products such as trailer hitches, bed covers, running boards, grille guards, toolboxes, lift kits, leather interiors, flat tow systems, lighting, bumpers, roof racks, truck caps, commercial shelving, and other truck accessories is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
- Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and a willingness to learn new products, installation techniques, and industry best practices.
- Takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot installation challenges.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding shop environment.
- Customer-focused mindset with a professional appearance and attitude when interacting with customers.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
