American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Post Partum position on a 13-bed unit requiring prior travel experience and an active MA RN license.

Work setting is a hospital Post Partum unit (5N) with 13 postpartum beds and 4 Continuing Care Nursery beds
-
Patient population includes post vaginal delivery, post C-section delivery, and intermittent postpartum magnesium or postpartum hemorrhage cases
-
Newborn patients are part of the caseload
-
Common medications and drips include IV antibiotics, IV magnesium, PRBCs, Rhogam, and Lovenox
-
Specialty equipment includes Welch Allyn blood pressure monitors, Nihon Kohden, venodyne machine, IV pump, Panda warmer, and Medela breast pump

Epic EMR experience is required

Schedule is 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
-
Every other weekend is required
-
No on-call requirement; volunteers may be asked to cover vacant shifts
-
Floating is not required

Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply at a local rate

Active MA RN license required (current or conditional); NURSYS verification report must reflect active status

Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required

Minimum 1 year of Postpartum RN experience required

Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered

Acute care experience required

Epic EMR experience required

2 recent references from a Charge RN, Manager, or Supervisor in a matching specialty

Valid driver's license with address matching demographics on file
-
Lactation certification preferred

Orientation consists of 3 days of hospital-wide orientation followed by 3 days on the unit, held on a bi-weekly schedule

RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration and may not exceed 5 days for the contract period

Block scheduling is not allowed
-
Every other major holiday coverage is required
-
Flu vaccine is required during flu season
-
Scrubs are provided by the facility; any scrub color is acceptable

Past or present MA RN license history (including inactive licenses) must be reflected in the NURSYS report
