Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping processes. Duties
- Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move goods within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and updating records using warehouse management systems.
- Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and verifying items through RF scanners and order pick lists.
- Ensure accurate order fulfillment by coordinating with the shipping and receiving departments.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to promote a safe working environment.
- Support packaging processes for e-commerce orders, ensuring products are securely packed for delivery.
- Utilize basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and verifying quantities.
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory adjustments using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve operational efficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with knowledge of warehouse distribution practices.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and MRP software.
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and order picking & packing techniques.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and proper equipment handling.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory control.
- Knowledge of e-commerce fulfillment processes and packaging standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members across departments.
