American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week travel ICU position in Manchester, NH, requiring telemetry experience and an active NH or compact RN license in hand prior to consideration.

Mixed medical and surgical ICU setting in a hospital environment
-
20-bed ICU unit staffed with a charge nurse, 8–10 RNs, 1–3 LNAs, and a PRN sitter per shift
-
Patient ratios are acuity-based: ECMO 2:1, post open heart surgery or critical ICU/device patients 1:1, typical ICU assignment 1:2, stepdown patients 1:3–4

Equipment includes IV pumps, telemetry monitors, Hoyer/stand lifts, Impella, IABP, CRRT (NxStage), bladder scanner, Bair Hugger, rapid transfuser, Blanketrol, chest tubes, vein finder, Sorin retransfuser (post cardiac surgery), ventilator, high-flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP/CPAP

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

13-week contract

Every third weekend required; no on-call responsibilities

Floating to Progressive Care may be required

Active NH or compact RN license required and must be in hand prior to consideration

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for ICU RNs
-
Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
-
Telemetry experience required; PCU-level experience or higher preferred
-
Experience with critical drips and ventilators preferred; prior ICU experience preferred
-
US SSN and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
-
One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Procedures performed on the unit include pericardiocentesis with drains, thoracentesis, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation, TEE cardioversion, TTE, and transvenous pacing wire insertion

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
