Per Diem Infusion Nurse – Biologics (Orland Park & Skokie, IL)
Join our healthcare team as a Per Diem Infusion Nurse specializing in biologic infusion therapy, supporting our Orland Park and Skokie, IL locations. This role calls for an experienced nurse comfortable administering IV infusions and injections for biologic treatments, with flexibility to work variable shifts based on patient scheduling needs across both sites. You'll provide expert, compassionate care while ensuring every procedure meets the highest safety and regulatory standards.
Duties
- Administer and monitor IV infusions and injections for biologic medications, ensuring precision and safety at every step
- Educate patients and families on infusion procedures, medication management, potential side effects, and post-treatment care
- Monitor patient responses during and after therapy, adjusting care based on clinical judgment and established protocols
- Manage documentation in the EHR accurately and in compliance with HIPAA and facility policy
- Maintain compliance with state healthcare regulations and safety standards throughout all procedures
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in good standing
- Hands-on experience administering biologic infusions, IV therapy, and injections (acute care or infusion center setting preferred)
- Solid working knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to infusion therapy
- Comfortable with EHR systems and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills for patient education and coordinating with the care team
- Available for per diem shifts with variable hours/schedule
This is a per diem position — hours will vary based on patient volume and scheduling needs at our Orland Park and Skokie, IL locations.
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
