Probst Collision is a family-owned and operated collision repair facility that has been serving the New Lenox area since 1978. We're looking for an experienced Collision Repair / Auto Body Technician to join our team.
This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone with a solid collision repair foundation who can come into the shop, understand what's in front of them, and get to work.
You don't need to know absolutely everything, but you should know collision repair, know how to weld, know what the tools are called, and be comfortable working independently.
What You'll Be Doing
- Collision repair on a variety of makes and models
- Structural and non-structural repairs
- Vehicle disassembly and reassembly
- Panel replacement and repair
- Welding as required by the repair
- Measuring and structural repair as needed
- Following OEM repair procedures and documented repair plans
- Working with the rest of our team to complete safe, quality repairs
- Maintaining an organized work area and taking care of shop equipment
What We're Looking For
- Previous professional collision/body repair experience
- Welding experience is a bonus!
- Solid knowledge of collision repair tools and equipment
- Ability to perform repairs independently
- Experience with structural and non-structural repairs
- Ability to read and follow OEM repair procedures
- Attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- Dependable and willing to work as part of a team
- I-CAR training/certifications are a plus
- Frame and structural repair experience is a plus

- HOURLY PAY — NO FLAT RATE
