Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Traveling Electrical Project Manager to oversee large-scale electrical construction projects across multiple locations. This role is responsible for managing all phases of electrical projects—from pre-construction planning through completion—while ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule targets are achieved.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, extensive field experience, and the ability to manage a large job site while traveling extensively.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage electrical construction projects nationwide
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
- Lead project teams including superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Identify and resolve project risks, issues, and change orders
- Conduct site visits to monitor quality, productivity, and safety performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related field in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical project management or 15 years of field experience.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical systems, and construction processes
- Proven ability to manage large projects more than 5 million.
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel extensively (often 80–100%)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or large commercial projects
- OSHA 30 certification
- PMP certification or equivalent
- Background in estimating or field supervision

Pay: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
