Shift Opening for the Registered Medication Aide (RMA)

Birch Ridge in Staunton, VA is seeking dedicated Registered Medication Aide RMAs/Med Techs for a 6PM - 6 AM shift or a 10p-6a. In this role, you will provide resident care services with kindness and compassion, while always maintaining the Resident’s safety and comfort.
Additional responsibilities for the Registered Medication Aide RMA role include:
- Assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Helping out as needed in the Resident Services area to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of our Residents
- Follow all policies and procedures, adhering to instructions of Administrator
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all Residents while following company policies and procedures
- Follow Medication Administration Records (MAR) and doctors’ orders
Qualifications for the Registered Medication Aide RMA role:
- Must be able to speak and read in English
- Must hold a valid Registered Medication Aide RMA certification
- Previous experience with the geriatric population preferred, providing assistance with ADLs
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to medication administration and resident care.
- Registered Medication Aide RMA will participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to the development of improved medication administration processes and protocols.
- Registered Medication Aide RMA is informed about developments in medication administration practices, attend training sessions, and maintains licensure and certifications required for the position.
- Ability to adjust to different personality types and situations
- Must be reliable, caring, and gentle
- Ability to provide abiding respect for the elderly and to remain calm at all times
