Duties
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas to support smooth restaurant operations.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy items such as large pots or crates of supplies with proper technique to ensure safety.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas through regular cleaning and sanitizing tasks.
- Support food handling and preparation activities by ensuring all dishware used in food service is hygienic and ready for use.
- Follow food safety management protocols to uphold health standards across all areas of the restaurant or catering event.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely dishwashing during busy service periods, including banquet or catering events.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper dishwashing techniques.
- Experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment, with familiarity in food service or catering settings preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling large quantities of dishes or supplies.
- Strong manual handling skills with attention to detail in cleaning and sanitation processes.
- Basic knife skills and understanding of food safety management are advantageous for supporting food prep tasks.
