Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient task completion and adherence to quality standards
- Train new team members on cleaning procedures, sanitation protocols, safety regulations, and customer service expectations
- Monitor cleaning operations including industrial cleaning, commercial cleaning, laundry services, and custodial tasks to maintain a pristine environment
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and timely replenishment
- Enforce safety regulations related to cleaning procedures and equipment operation to protect staff and guests
- Foster effective communication within the team and with other departments to address issues promptly and improve service delivery
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial work, janitorial services, or hospitality housekeeping management with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong background in cleaning techniques including industrial cleaning, sanitation management, and commercial cleaning practices
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team supervision, staff training, and management
- Excellent managerial communication skills to motivate staff, coordinate tasks, and resolve issues efficiently
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to cleaning operations and familiarity with hygiene standards in hospitality environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Previous experience in laundry operations or hospitality housekeeping roles is highly desirable
