At M&M Precision Machining, we specialize in producing high-precision components with an unwavering commitment to quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction. We’re excited to expand our team and are looking for a skilled 2nd Shift Quality Technician to join us at our facility in Elk River, Minnesota.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections on precision-machined parts.
- Use micrometers, calipers, comparators, and CMM/vision systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
- Document inspection results and maintain audit-ready records.
- Identify and report non-conformances; support CAPA and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with machinists, supervisors, and engineering teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- 1–3 years of machining or precision-inspection experience (CNC environment preferred).
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and machining processes.
- Proficiency with inspection tools and metrology equipment.
- ISO 9001 experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Periods of sitting for inspection and standing/walking on the production floor.
- Manual dexterity for small parts and measurement tools.
- Ability to work in a machining environment (moderate noise, coolants, PPE required).
Pay, Schedule & Benefits
- Starting Pay: $24 – $29 per hour (based on experience)
- Shift Differential: $1.50 per hour for 2nd shift differential
Shifts / Work Hours:
2nd Shift according to the following schedule:
- Monday-Thursday: 2:45 PM - 1:15 AM
