The Grocery Manager is responsible for leading the Grocery Department to achieve sales, profitability, and operational excellence. This role ensures exceptional customer service, maintains proper inventory levels, and drives execution of merchandising and company initiatives while developing and leading a high-performing team.
Lead and manage all daily operations of the Grocery Department
Drive sales through effective merchandising, in-stock conditions, and promotional execution
Ensure department meets financial goals including sales, margin, and shrink targets
Maintain proper inventory levels through ordering, forecasting, and inventory control
Oversee product quality, rotation, and compliance with freshness standards
Ensure all pricing, signage, and displays are accurate and compliant
Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer concerns promptly
Hire, train, develop, and coach team members to maximize performance
Create and manage schedules to align labor with business needs
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and food safety standards
Partner with Store Director and other department leaders to drive total store results
