Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Conduct routine janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restocking supplies to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Carry out floor care activities including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing to preserve flooring integrity and appearance
- Assist with custodial tasks related to industrial cleaning projects or specialized cleaning needs as required
- Support facilities maintenance by performing minor repairs, painting (residential or commercial), and troubleshooting basic equipment issues
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or hazards
- Maintain detailed records of completed tasks, inventory levels of cleaning supplies, and maintenance logs for accountability
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, and sealing floors
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and equipment operation is a plus
- Familiarity with basic facilities maintenance tasks including painting and minor repairs
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety procedures diligently
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to report issues effectively and coordinate with team members
