Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal service
- Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans established by healthcare providers
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and proper manual handling techniques
- Engage residents in social activities and therapeutic programs to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with health regulations such as HIPAA and facility policies
Experience
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or neurodevelopmental disorders
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Familiarity with care plans, HIPAA compliance, and documentation standards in healthcare environments
- Experience with manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts and performing patient monitoring tasks
- Background in geriatrics, hospice care, or long-term care settings is advantageous
- Strong communication skills rooted in social work principles to foster trust and understanding with residents

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
