Requires combined operations of technology and clinical conditions. Employees perform diagnostic procedures in a health setting, which involves direct interaction with patients who may be ill, injured, or contagious. Work includes extended standing, occasional lifting or positioning of patients, and operation of equipment under strict safety protocols. Employees interact directly or indirectly with workplace hazards, including blood, electrical equipment and radio-pharmaceuticals, or contrast agents, and must adhere to infection control and safety guidelines. Employees are provided with personal protective equipment (PPE), training on safety measures, and must report any exposure incidents immediately.
Requires utilization of computers, fax, telephones, etc. and all must be used responsibly as property of the organization. St. Luke’s employee emails must be checked every shift and sustain any online education requirements.
May require holiday, night, weekend, or call coverage based upon department needs and requirements
Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
