Job Description
Pick up and transport regulated medical waste and hazardous waste from facilities including but not limited to medical, dental, veterinary, mortuary, assisted living, industrial, and governmental facilities. Driver must collect and transport safely according to all rules, regulations, and company policies. Training period will require learning and being tested on regulations. Driver responsible for loading truck, performing pre-trip inspection of vehicle, completing provided route within Southern California, assuring containers are in DOT approved condition for transportation, securing containers for transportation, completing required paperwork, and unloading truck each day. This is a physically demanding job however tools and safety equipment are provided.
Position Requirements
- Clean Driving Record.
- Commercial Driver's License with Hazardous Waste Endorsement and No Air Break
- Company will provide required immunizations (declination form required if employees elects not to receive immunizations)
- Must maintain Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC)
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Other Skills and Qualifications
- Able to lift 75 lbs.
- Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and DMV record check.
- Must be motivated and dependable with a neat appearance and good attitude.
- Must complete assigned paperwork legibly and accurately.
- Must allow enrollment in BIT program and random drug and alcohol screening.
Compensation
Starting at $24.00 an hour.
