BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of building maintenance activities and act in the absence of the supervisor. This is accomplished by completing electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, painting, carpentry, construction, floor, ceiling and roofing, and other miscellaneous repairs. Other duties include coordinating schedules, obtaining work and equipment estimates, picking up materials, ordering supplies, maintaining equipment and delivering materials.

1 L Regular and reliable attendance in compliance with given schedules is a mandatory requirement of this position. Schedules may be subject to change with or without advance notice.
2 S Schedules activities and tasks by reviewing status, reviewing work orders and requests, prioritizing projects and coordinating materials.
3 H Plans, organizes, leads, and participates in the work of subordinate employees engaged in building maintenance services and safety regulations. Trains and instructs workers in proper methods and procedures of assigned tasks. Inspects buildings and equipment for maintenance problems. Supervises and assists in loading, unloading, and moving supplies, equipment and furniture; orders and maintains an inventory of various building maintenance equipment and supplies; may perform minor building maintenance. Prepares and maintains subordinate’s annual performance reviews, necessary records and reports.
4 M Develops preventive maintenance programs by reviewing maintenance requirements and repairs, logging information, and scheduling inspections.
