We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Flight Line Maintenance Mechanic to join our team.
Job Summary
As a Flight Line Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing and maintaining aircraft to ensure safety, compliance and optimal performance. You will work on the flight line and in airport hangars, performing time-sensitive checks, troubleshooting mechanical and avionics malfunctions, and completing repairs so flights can depart on schedule. The aircraft mechanic will complete tasks within allotted time frames and to the strict safety regulations of the FAA or applicable regulatory body. They must be a problem solver, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about aircraft systems and parts.
Key Responsibilities
· Inspections: Perform pre-flight, post-flight, and transit maintenance checks. Perform routine inspections.
· Troubleshooting: Diagnose system malfunctions and perform electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault isolation.
· Repairs and Replacements: Remove and replace components, including engine parts, landing gear, brakes, and avionics, while utilizing specialized tools. Servicing oil, oxygen and hydraulic fluid.
· Documentation: Ensure all maintenance, inspections, and repairs are meticulously documented in aircraft logbooks and permanent records according to strict FAA regulations.
· Safety and Compliance: Strictly adhere to FAA guidelines, company standard operating procedures (SOPs), and OSHA requirements.
Must be available for RON and AOG maintenance/ travel (As needed)
Qualifications
· Licensing: Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License (Required)
· Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relative aviation line-maintenance experience.
· Education: High school diploma
· Work Environment Requirements: Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Skills
· Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read and interpret complex technical manuals, wiring schematics and diagrams.
· Analytical mind with an interest in troubleshooting
· Extensive experience with power and hand tools, and knowledge of aircraft systems, mechanics, and parts
· Ability to make consistent and precise repairs under time constraints.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills for discussing malfunctions preferred
· Collaborative mindset and experience working on a team preferred
Equipment Provided
· Company service vehicle and specialized maintenance equipment provided
· Employees are required to furnish a basic line maintenance tool inventory and portable tool kit appropriate for assigned duties
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Rate: $35-$40/hr (Commensurate with experience and shift differentials)
